TELECTROSCOPE !!

The Telectroscope is an extraordinary new device that allows people in London to see across the Atlantic. Positioned at a spot near Tower Bridge, it allows people to watch their counterparts in New York, peering through an identical scope near the Brooklyn Bridge.
It is the invention of Paul St George, a 53-year-old artist in based in London who - using broadband internet cable to transmit video images between the two venues at high speed - gives the impression that the two cities are connected via a telescope under the Atlantic sea.

POINTLESS !! : THE $300,000 WATCH WHICH DOES NOT TELL TIME

This watch is called "Day and Night" and it was created by Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome. It won't tell what time it is but it tells you whether it’s day or night.
As the company’s Web site boasts: “With no display for the hours, minutes or seconds, the Day&Night offers a new way of measuring time, splitting the universe of time into two fundamentally opposing sections: day versus night.
What’s most impressive about the Day&Night is its complexity, given its absolute uselessness. The watch was made from the steel salvaged from the sunken Titanic, along with material from the shipyard where it was built.
And the best part is the watch sold within 48 hours of its launch.

SOMETHING Y'ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ..
It’s the e-menu options in pubs, bars and restaurants. The e-menu features an interactive wine bar that lets guests explore for themselves the wide variety of wines available.

Potion, a technology design firm that specializes in interactive installations, has created an interactive wine bar for Alain Ducasse’s new restaurant ‘Adour’ located in the luxurious St. Regis Hotel in NY city.
The 4-seat wine bar is made from gold and bronze and covered in luxurious goat skin. Built-in interactive technology helps wine connoisseurs choose a wine by browsing Adour’s complete wine list by wine type, country, and varietal.
Computer menus are projected from the ceiling onto the bar and customers make their choices by pressing on the bar’s surface with their finger tips. When a person selects a wine, a rosette-shaped image emerges with information about the wine on each of its five petals.
